Salt Lake City Nurse Arrested for Refusing to Obey Unconstitutional Police Request

“Utah police have released a disturbing video of officers handcuffing and arresting” Alex Wubbels, a Salt Lake City nurse, “for refusing to obey a clearly unconstitutional order.” The video footage shows Detective Jeff Payne aggressively arresting Wubbels “for refusing to allow the officer to draw blood from an unconscious patient without a warrant.” Shortly after news of the incident broke, and after the disturbing footage was viewed by people across the country, Payne was suspended “from the department’s blood draw unit,” and even the city’s police chief, Mike Brown, called the footage “very alarming.” However, though Payne has been suspended from the blood draw unit, he “remains on active duty pending an inquiry.”

Tomi Lahren is back, this time as a new political contributor for the conservative news network, Fox News. An avid supporter of President Trump, she’s made a name for herself for being rather outspoken about her political beliefs. According to a statement released earlier today by Fox, as a contributor, Lahren will “provide political commentary on Fox News’ conservative opinion shows, primarily Sean Hannity’s primetime program.” Additionally, she will “have a signature role on a digital product currently being developed,” though details about that particular product have yet to be released.


Choking Hazard Prompts Recall of Hallmark Plush Baby Toy

Settlement Reached Over Fatal School Stabbing

After fatally stabbing a classmate because she refused his prom invitation, Christopher Plaskon, 20, and his parents “agreed to settle a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the victim’s mother,” Donna Cimarelli-Sanchez. Though details surrounding the settlement have yet to be disclosed, the settlement is “pending approval in a probate court, where a hearing is scheduled for Sept. 19.”
