24,000 Inclined Disney and Eddie Bauer Infant Sleepers Recalled Amid Safety Concerns

— August 1, 2019

Dorel Juvenile Group USA is recalling thousands of inclined infant sleepers over safety concerns.

Another inclined infant sleeper was recalled earlier this week over safety concerns. The recall includes about 24,000 Disney and Eddie Bauer brand inclined sleepers after “infant deaths in connection with similar products were reported.” It was issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Dorel Juvenile Group USA and only affects the “Eddie Bauer Slumber and Soothe Rock Bassinet and the Disney Baby Doze and Dream Bassinet.”

Shortly after issuing the recall, the commission said, “Consumers should immediately stop using the inclined sleepers and contact Dorel for a refund in the form of a $60 voucher.” According to the recall notice, the affected inclined sleepers were sold at several popular stores, including Kmart, T.J. Maxx, Target, Marshalls, and a variety of children’s stores.

Fortunately, no injuries have been linked to the affected Eddie Bauer and Disney sleepers. Other similar sleepers have been recalled after reports of infant deaths began to roll in. According to those reports, infants rolled from their backs to their side or stomachs and suffocated. If you have additional questions or concerns, contact Dorel Juvenile Group USA at 877-657-9546 or text the company at 812-373-6673 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday.
