Mizkan American Inc. is recalling certain Ragú pasta sauces over concerns they may contain plastic pieces.
Are you a pasta fan? Do you buy Ragú pasta on a regular basis? If so, you may want to check your pantry. Earlier this week, Mizkan American Inc., the company that makes Ragú pasta, recalled three flavors of the popular sauce over concerns it may be contaminated with pieces of plastic.

The issue was discovered during routine quality checks and has so far affected 9,130 cases of sauces. In a statement, a Mizkan spokesperson said:
“The vast majority of these cases were still contained at retailer warehouses and distribution centers. Based on our investigations, we believe a limited amount of products may have reached store shelves last week at the earliest.”
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. If you have any of the recalled sauces in your home, either throw them away or return them for a refund. If you have additional questions or concerns about the recall, contact the company at 800-328-7248 Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. central standard time.
