RXBAR Protein Bars Recalled Over Concerns of Undeclared Allergens

RXBAR recently expanded a recall for a variety of protein bars over concerns that they may contain undeclared allergens.

Are you a fan of protein bars? If so, you may be interested in a recent recall. Earlier this week, RXBAR issued a recall of a variety of different protein bars over concerns that they may contain an undeclared allergen: peanuts. The issue was first discovered back in December. At that time, only two varieties of bars were affected by the recall, including Chocolate Sea Salt and Coconut Chocolate. However, the company recently expanded the recall.

As a result of the issue, the company decided to switch suppliers, especially after an “investigation showed the specific ingredient was provided by a third party supplier.” It should be noted that the recalled products are still safe for anyone who is not allergic to peanuts.
