A recall notice was recently issued for Southern Specialties Inc. Marketside brand butternut squash and green beans over concerns the products may be contaminated with Listeria.
Earlier this week, Southern Specialties Inc. issued a recall of butternut squash and green beans over concerns the vegetables may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. This bacteria may result in serious infections in young children, pregnant women, elderly people, and anyone with weakened immune systems. Even if you’re a healthy individual, you may experience headaches, high fevers, nausea, and other unpleasant symptoms if you contract the Listeria monocytogenes bacteria.
According to the recall notice, only the following Marketside brand products are included:
- Marketside | Bagged Green Beans, 32oz. (2 LB) 907g | 681131457385 (UPC) | 3/9/2019 (Best If Used By Date) | 83931-123 or 83939-124 (Lot Codes On Bag)
