“Alex Jones will no longer own or control the company he built,” attorney Christopher Mattei said in a statement. “This brings the [Sandy Hook] families closer to their goal of holding him accountable for the harm he has caused.”
“Even though city policymakers have long known of the unconstitutional conditions at Rikers and [the] risk of rape and sexual abuse of female detainees—from personal observations, prior lawsuits, public reports, governmental investigations, and the City’s own internal reports—City policymakers have utterly failed to take the necessary steps to remedy the conditions at Rikers,” the lawsuit alleges.
“It’s all about public safety,” said Nassau County legislator Mazi Pilip, the bill’s conservative sponsor. “If people want to rally, that’s great. However, this idea that nobody is going to recognize my face, and I’m going to break the law and hurt people—that’s not going to be acceptable.”
“It was their gross negligence, including a ship—a 900-plus-ton vessel—to sea that was not seaworthy,” state Attorney General Anthony Brown said. “So, it’s no surprise that the basic claims and the facts—supporting claims are going to be the same, because we all recognize that it was Grace Ocean and Synergy Maritime that failed all of us.”
“Today’s lawsuit,” Bonta said, “shows the fullest picture to date of ExxonMobil’s decades-long deception, and we are asking the court to hold ExxonMobil fully accountable for its role in actively creating and exacerbating the plastics pollution crisis through its campaign of deception,” California Attorney General Rob Bonta said.
“NBC must be held accountable for its abuse of power and betrayal of trust,” attorneys wrote in their initial claim. “Viewers and readers across the country turn to the media for the information they need to make decisions about their health and well-being.”
“There is no existential threat going on here,” said attorney Glenn Pomerantz in the Washington’s opening arguments. “Kroger and Albertsons don’t need to merge to be successful. They’re already successful.”
“Mr. Pace began screaming in pain, gasping for air, and saying, ‘I can’t breathe,’” the lawsuit alleges. “He kept saying, ‘Help me, I can’t breathe,’ over and over.”
“150,000 people gave us their hard-earned money, and in exchange we vowed to protect this land from racist billionaires and their dumb vanity projects,” CAH wrote. “While this isn’t enough to compensate our subscribers for the anguish they’ve suffered witnessing Elon Musk defile their once-verdant land—where wild horses galloped freely in the Texas moonlight—we think it’s a pretty good start.”
“The female contestants particularly and collectively suffered as a result of defendants’ actions,” the lawsuit says. “The Beast Game work environment systematically fostered a culture of misogyny and sexism.”
