Colorado Rep. Jason Crow has filed a lawsuit claiming that the Trump administration’s recently-imposed policy of requiring advance approval for oversight visits to immigration detention centers is patently unlawful. “Murdoch is 94 years old, has suffered from multiple health issues throughout his life, is believed to have suffered recent significant health scares, and is presumed to live in New York, New York,” Trump’s filing states.
“This isn’t about oversight and transparency,” Bonta said. “This is about establishing widespread surveillance under the guise of fighting fraud. We can call it what it is, an illegal data grab designed to scare people away from public assistance programs.”
A House representative from Florida raised concerns that one official’s removal could jeopardize an ongoing fraud investigation into Leo Gavoni, accused of embezzling more than $100 million in money meant for people with special needs.
“This pumping station in Hillsborough just flooded a few weeks ago. A lot of sewage was dumped into the river. That’s why this site was picked to receive funds to move out of the floodplain. In a Monday press release, Washington state Attorney General Nick Brown said that the White House has authorized a “chaotic reversal” of longstanding agency policy, “prohibiting state safety net programs from serving all residents, regardless of immigration status.”
“The supposed letter is fake and the Defendants knew it when they chose to deliberately defame President Trump,” the lawsuit alleges.
The Montezuma-Cortez school district is now asking to be named a co-plaintiff in a lawsuit led by District 49 in the Colorado Springs area. Filed against the Colorado High School Activities Association, the complaint seeks a broader blanket ban on transgender participation in school sports.
“U.S. Masters Swimming has also allowed these same delusional biological men to steal records, rankings, and recognition from … women,” the lawsuit alleges. “Indeed, in April of this year, a biological man competed in—and won—five women’s titles in U.S. Masters Swimming’s Spring Nationals in San Antonio, Texas.”
The SIJS classification was authorized by Congress in 1990 as part of the further-reaching Immigration and Nationality Act. Under the SIJS provision, immigrant minors who were abused, abandoned, or neglected in their home countries can apply for protection against deportation and are eligible to receive work permits.
