Mann Packing Co. Recalls More Than 100 Vegetable Products Amid Listeria Concerns

A recall was recently issued by Mann Packing Co. for certain vegetable products over listeria concerns.


Earlier this week, Mann Packing Co. issued a recall of more than 100 different vegetable products over fears they may be contaminated with Listeria. According to the recall notice, the products were sold under “nearly a dozen different brand names.” A full list of all the recalled products sold here in the U.S. Can be found.

All of the recalled products have ‘Best-By’ dates between October 11, 2019, and November 16, 2019. The brands affected by the recall include Mann’s Packing Co., Del Monte, Sysco, Hungryroot, Marketside, HEB, O Organics, Signature Farms, Trader Joe’s, and more, according to the notice.

Fortunately, there have been no reports of consumers experiencing adverse reactions from consuming the products. Despite that, though, anyone who has the recalled products should throw them away or return them for a refund. Listeria is a serious health condition that is particularly dangerous for newborns, pregnant women, the elderly, and anyone with a compromised immune system. In the U.S., it is the “third leading cause of death from foodborne illness.
